Clay modeling a very simple process and does not require costly tools or material.

1. Thin Wire                  
2. Niddel
3. Wooden Spatula                  
4. Waste News Paper
5. Bucket and Mug                  
6. Color and varnish for finish
7. 1-2 types of Knife etc.
8. Clay : Lots of ready made clay is available in Craft Store in bar / powder form .

Few variety of clay, which are easily available in market are - Polymer Clay, Different types of Dough (Air drying, Oven drying), Variety of ceramics etc.

However for making big models, it's a good idea to use the 'Potters clay'. You may buy it from any potter at very cheap price. ( or else get some sweet earth free from river silt. You may dig 2 feet deep in your garden and collect the sweet earth. Sheave it with the help of fine sheave. Wet it with lots of water and leave for 1-2 days. Mix it thoroughly with the help of your hand. Please note, this process is very tiring).
